Fine line tattoos in Seville
It's the style everyone wants right now, and at LIGO it's tattooed by Bulo, Elena Alba, Flama, and Maque. Fine needles, clean lines and pieces that never crowd the skin.

What is a fine line tattoo?
Fine line means tattooing with very small needle groupings, usually a 1RL or a 3RL. The lines come out thin and precise, closer to a pencil drawing than to a classic bold-line tattoo.
It suits flowers and branches, lettering and dates, small animals, symbols and micro-realism. It's mostly done in black or grey, with the odd touch of colour.
The hard part is the hand. A needle that fine leaves no room for error: if a line wobbles or goes in too deep, it shows. That's why it pays to get it from someone who tattoos fine line every day.

Ideas that work in fine line
Flowers and botanicals
Branches, dried bouquets, olive leaves. The most requested idea, and where a fine needle shines.
Lettering and dates
Names, short phrases, dates. Best with a simple typeface and a size you'll still be able to read in ten years.
Micro-realism
Pets, objects, little scenes: lots of detail in a few centimetres.
Small symbols
Moons, stars, hearts, a line joining two dots. If there's a free slot, they usually work as a walk-in.
Where it looks best
Forearm, inner arm, collarbone, ribs, ankle or behind the ear. On fingers and hands fine line fades sooner; if you want it there, we'll tell you what to expect.
How fine line ages
Over the years all ink spreads a little under the skin, and on a thin line you notice it sooner. That's no reason to skip it, but it is a reason to design it well: leave space between lines, don't shrink the details too much and pick a spot that isn't rubbing all day. If an idea needs a bit more size to last, we'll tell you.
Fine line without an appointment?
Yes, if the piece is small and clear. Plenty of our walk-ins are exactly that: a date, a flower, a symbol. If the idea is bigger or needs a custom design, it's better to book and prepare it properly.
How walk-ins workFine line questions
Does a fine line tattoo hurt more?
Not usually. The needle is fine and the pieces are small, so sessions are short. What changes the feeling most is placement: ribs, ankle and foot are rougher than the forearm.
How long does it take to heal?
The skin closes in about two weeks and the tattoo settles by week three or four. We give you the aftercare steps on the day, and they're also in our aftercare guide.
How much does it cost?
It depends on size, placement and detail. Send us your idea with a reference and we'll give you a price before we start.
Can I bring my own design?
Of course. We adapt it to your body and to what fine line allows: sometimes a detail needs simplifying or the size needs to go up a little so it lasts.
